2021年2月19日、日本時間AM5時55分に、NASAの火星探査機 ”Perseverance” が、かつて湖だったと考えられているジェゼロクレーターへの着陸を試みる。この探査機は1976年のバイキング1号以来、NASAの9機目の火星探査機である。前回の火星探査機は2012年8月の "Curiosity" で、地球外生命体の存在の証とされる有機物を発見した。探査機が無事に火星に着陸できる確率は4割しかない。

　添付の写真はNASAが発券した次の火星探査機の搭乗券。小生の名前が記されたこの搭乗券は、マイクロチップに埋め込まれて現在開発中の次期火星探査機に搭乗し、2026年7月に火星に向かって出発する予定です。

At 05:55AM (JST) on Februrary 19, 2021, NASA's Mars spacecraft "Perseverance" attempts to land on the Jezero Crater, which was once thought to be a lake. This spacecraft is NASA's 9th Mars probe since Viking 1 in 1976. The last Mars spacecraft was "Curiosity" in August 2012, which discovered organic matter that is a proof of the existence of extraterrestrial life. There is only a 40% chance that the spacecraft will land on Mars safely.

   The photo is the boarding pass for the next Mars probe. This boarding pass with my name will be used as a microchip on the next spacecraft and will depart for Mars in July 2026.
